Anna Theresa Licaros Ms. Universe 2007


After a long time waiting for Ms. Universe 2007 “The Most Beautiful Day in the Universe” . Finally I can watch those 77 candidates all over the world! .... It started here 9:30 in ABS-CBN (Philippines) but before that, I watched the Homeboy Special Episode for Ms. Universe Pre Pageant with those former World Beauty Queen.

And you know what? I’m really proud to our own lovely delegate

Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2007 , she graduated in University of the Philippines as Summa Cum laude in Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Communication . In an early age she possessed a kind of Passion in life, and that is being achiever. She studied before in Assumption College in Elementary where she became a Salutatorian and High School where she graduated as Valedictorian .While in College she was a very active student, intelligent and humble. She’s a top in Deans List too. But after all achieving the successful career in college, Anna decided to become a Lawyer for Children’s Rights and Family Cases where she is a sophomore student and Top of the class again. Me as a Filipino youth I truly inspired by her. I wanted to be like her, but as a Summa Cum Laude? Hmmp ! Well lets see!... I read too that She had an I.Q. 175.. What a great!.. And she’s chosen as one of the 10 Outstanding Students in the Philippines. She’s a member of Paralegal Volunteer Organization and Portia Sorority.

Her father is Andy Licaros and her mother is Ma. Victoria Licaros she’s the older in 3 brothers. For them their sister is their inspiration too. Other facts about her? Oww she likes to eat accdg. to her friend , and with a sense of humor too and she has a boyfriend named “Mr. Lazatin”.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?

Reading and Collecting Fairy Tales, Case Digest making, Writing, Playing Scrabble, Backgammon and Mahjong

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?

My grandmother, Marcela Licaros. I grew up next door to my paternal grandparents and my grandmother was always there to show love and support for all my activities. She is a woman of great strength and is the epitome of perseverance and hardwork. her profession as a public school teacher also influenced me in my desire to enter into the academe in the future to be a teacher as well.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than representing your country in this pageant)?

Being chosen as one of the 10 outstanding students of the Philippines last 2005.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?

I would like to become a successful lawyer someday, engaged in a trail- blazing practice focused on children's rights cases. I am currently enrolled as a sophomore in the University of the Philippines, College of Law and am part of the Paralegal Volunteers Organization.

Where is the most interesting place you have been?

The mystic mountain called mount Banahaw in Quezon Province, It has a lot of caves and hillside shrines. going to the Husgado cave was an experience! I left the place energized and feeling invincible.

What makes you unique and different from the other contestants?

My being a global Filipina. It is my capacity to integrate my culture and history with the beautiful and useful things the rest of the world has to offer. It is the resilience of my culture that is my strongest trait.

What is your philosophy of /in life?

Be the best by choice! achieving and being the best is always the result of a conscious decision, a commitment to excellence.

What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?

Practicing law in the grand manner, either as part of the national or local government or in government service and at the same time starting a family of my own.

Is there anything you would like to tell us about yourself? Something unique that has happened to you? Some interesting thing about you?

I really enjoy taking public transportation. I actually feel sexiest most attractive after riding the metro rail transit or taking the jeep. I attribute to the sense of empowerment I get because I can move around by myself and I am independent when I commute. also, nothing beats having naturally wind-blown hair and a natural flush on the face because of walking or taking the stairs. my sense of beauty is tough, independent, take charge natural and low maintenance.
